Shady Pines RV Park is a new RV park located on County Road 4105, 1.4 miles south of Dukes Truckstop at exit 147 on I30. We are the only "shaded" RV park in the area with a real wildlife setting. With 70' pine & oak trees throughout, it truly is an oasis in East Texas. We offer 30 & 50 amp sites with full amenities of water, electricity, and sewage. We also have a laundry facility to accommodate the needs of our RV'ers

We have over 20 acres to explore and are within miles of Lake Bob Sandlin State Park and Cypress Springs lake.  Just minutes away from Mount Vernon and only 17 miles from the historic Mount Pleasant, there are plenty of things to do while you stay at Shady Pines RV Park & Campgrounds.

Here are just a few of the local sites to see:

Lake Bob Sandlin State Park

Lake Bob Sandlin State Park is located around Lake Bob Sandlin in Northeast Texas, in the Pineywoods region. The lake lies in Titus, Camp, and Franklin Counties, with a small part in the northeast corner of Wood County.

Fishing

If you're into fishing, Shady Pines RV Park has 3 lakes within minutes of our park. Cypress Spings and Lake Bob Sandlin are a 15 minute drive from our location and Lake Fork is about a 30 minute drive. So if it's fun on the water that you're into, we are perfectly located to feet you fun!

Golfing

If its Golfing that you enjoy,  Mt Pleasant Country Club is a Semi-Private club established in Mount Pleasant, Texas in 1939.

The front nine was built in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The front nine project was designed by none other than Perry Maxwell. While MPCC was a nine hole course, we started out with sand greens and changed to grass in the 1950's.

In 1981, a new clubhouse was built on the lake in a swarm of beauty. Following 1981, in 1984 an automated irrigation system was added on to the course.

Entering the 1990's, in 1991, we switched from 328 Tif grass to the Tif Dwarf grass for our greens. In 1999 the club voted to build the back nine, and this became the start to making our course a full 18 hole course!

Coming around to 2002, our back nine opened with Tif Eagle grass. This gave us our new holes (8-18).

The Alamo Mission Museum

From imagery recalling the Alamo martyrs through the bloody trail of Bonnie and Clyde, the connecting Texas thread weaving through exhibits of a unique museum emerge quietly.

If you're looking to explore some of the history of Texas, located 1 minute away is the Alamo Mission Museum - From the tale of pirates menacing Galveston to the story of a Danish researcher who tracked Elvis across the state, The Alamo Mission Museum of Franklin County blends time like rich colored oils across the canvas of the creator's imagination.
